Overview on Converting Data in Pastel Partner (Version 14 and upwards)
If you are upgrading from a version of Sage Pastel prior to Sage Pastel V12, you will need to first convert your company data file to version 12 using the conversion assistant.
Once you have converted the company data file to Version 12, copy the file to the VersionXX folder and add the Company using the Add Company button.
When you open the company, the files will rebuild and you can continue to work in the company.
If you are upgrading from Version 12, during the installation process you will have the option to migrate your Version 12 companies to Version 14. Once you have migrated the companies, there will be no need to rebuild the files as these files are all rebuilt during the migration process.
Only active companies will be selected to be migrated to Version 14. If you wish to not migrate a specific company, you can deselect the company and this deselected company will not be migrated.
If you choose not to migrate your companies during the installation process, you can copy the companies over to the Version 14 folder and then manually add the companies to Version 14.
